Course schedules differ by location, so this is the first thing to choose. Select a location to see its dates and register.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
After you choose a location
Step 2 — Pick a course schedule
Each location publishes its own class dates and times, covering the classroom sessions, the written test, and book hand-out. You choose the course that fits your calendar.
Step 3 — Sign up and pay
Complete the registration form and pay the deposit to hold your seat. We confirm your place and send the details before the first class.
Before you start
The student must be 15 years old by the day of the first class. That is a State of Maine requirement and there are no exceptions.

What it costs, and when
The deposit holds your seat and comes off the total. Nothing is hidden.
- $180 deposit to hold your seat — non-refundable, credited toward the total
- $200 due before the first day of class
- $200 due before the final day of class
- $580 total course cost
- Road test fee is separate: $40 with AAA membership, $50 without
